It’s small, light, simple, and can come with a manual (but most don’t). It’s a brilliant recipe for junkyard modding. Sketchy lift, rolled fenders, big tires, junkyard turbo, side exhaust, deliberate rusting, gun rack, and some fuel cans for good measure. I liked them too, until I drove one. That manual is BAD. I can’t imagine the CVT is much better.

They’re pretty miserable. My brother had one while his car was getting inspected by insurance. Pink too.

Holy crap it was good on fuel though.

Could be fun as basic car and a platform to mod on, when it depreciates.

For now a used 90s Japanese compact will do the same things better, and even when the Mirage is finally worth its value - it would still be a worse design compared to an EG Civic or Geo Storm etc.
